1. Sales and Area Managers
- Responsibilities: Area Managers typically oversee sales teams in designated regions, ensuring that targets are met and sales objectives are achieved. They manage a group of Medical Sales Representatives (MSRs), train them, and ensure they have the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.
- Skills Required: Leadership, strong communication skills, deep knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, and the ability to analyze sales data and make strategic decisions.Qualifications: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in pharmacy, business, or a related field. Previous experience in sales or management roles in a pharmaceutical company is preferred.
2. Medical Sales Representatives (MSRs)
- Responsibilities: MSRs are the frontline employees who directly interact with healthcare professionals to promote pharmaceutical products. They are responsible for building relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and other medical professionals to ensure that the company’s products are prescribed and stocked.
- Skills Required: Strong interpersonal skills, persuasion, and an understanding of medical terminology and the pharmaceutical products they represent. MSRs must be knowledgeable about their product portfolio and the needs of healthcare professionals.
- Qualifications: A degree in pharmacy, biochemistry, or any relevant scientific field.
3. Marketing and Brand Managers
- Responsibilities: These professionals manage product launches, advertising campaigns, and promotional strategies for pharmaceutical products. They analyze market trends and develop strategies to position their products effectively in the marketplace.
- Skills Required: Creative thinking, strategic planning, and the ability to manage budgets and analyze consumer trends.
- Qualifications: A degree in marketing, pharmacy, or business administration is common, with experience in the pharmaceutical sector or a related field being advantageous.
4. Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Officers
- Responsibilities: These professionals ensure that the company’s products comply with local regulations. They manage the registration process of drugs with authorities like the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) and ensure adherence to international standards.

6. Supply Chain and Logistics
- Responsibilities: This department ensures the timely and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical products to various stakeholders. They manage inventory, shipping, and ensure that all products are stored correctly in accordance with safety regulations.
